Orphan Buddy
Loneliness is an ever deepening crisis among the elderly, and it has only gotten worse during Covid. With your support, we can kickstart our Orphan Buddy Initiative. Our volunteers will help facilitate a video chat between senior citizens and orphans overseas in war-torn nations (our current focus this year is Iraq).
To a child who has lost their family to violent conflict, having a grandparent figure lend a sympathetic ear could make all the difference in the world.
We are currently working with the retirement community The Virginian in Fairfax Virginia on this endeavor. Your donation will help cover the cost of smart devices, communication software, food for the orphans and a team for policy development.
